Scramblers - Lexington Park: Reviews & Ratings
It is really nice to have more choices of food near home. We had the "Crab Cake Bunny," (delicious). We also had the "Salted Caramel and Banana Waffles," (delicious and a must try). From the front Hostess to the Server, we had a wonderful time. If I did see imperfection, I would not have mentioned it. One thing for sure, there will be things that have to be perfected once you start a new business and/or have a grand opening. I would not hold anything against this establishment due to things that may beyond their control. We will be back!
Ate a late breakfast on a Wednesday and was overall pleased! The menu had a lot of variety: typical pancakes and omelettes, but also unique items like shrimp & grits and breakfast burritos. There were a number of gluten free items which were clearly marked. I also appreciated that you could get a “mini” version of some items for $1.50 less. The “mini” omelette was more than sufficient. My only complaint was that we were seated at table for 2 that felt uncomfortably close to those next to us. The restaurant itself is spacious. My husband’s only complaint was that the breakfast burrito wasn’t spicy enough. Overall, a nice edition to SoMD food. Also, I love that it opens bright and early at 6:30am so working folks can have a nice breakfast before work.
The salted caramel and banana waffle!!! OMG Fam we were heading back from getting supplies for my urban farm and plant nursery and saw this spot…my husband and I looked at each other and said, “what’s that? lol…when did this pop up”…it was a bright, freshly built building and it had such a “sunny” presence. It almost reminded me of the old Tastee Diner we used to go to for breakfast in Silver Spring back in the day, except modernized. I didn’t even step foot inside yet, but I just had a good feeling that I was going to like this place. There was a short wait, it was packed, but the staff was jumping. (Mostly young people by the way AND I was totally impressed by their professionalism). Orders were coming out, people were stuffing their faces and keeping it moving. There was even a bar where you could have cocktails…mmmmk! We weren’t on that vibe this morning, but good to know for when tho…IJS…lol! Now breaking it down on the food, I tell you what: if I ate like this everyday I’d be huuuge and my arteries would more than likely explode; but I will allow, once every few months or so. First, the salted caramel and banana waffle was AMAZING and anything from the Bottomless Griddle is all you can eat…yes, I so ordered another and took it home with me. It warmed up in the air fryer and ate so good, I thought I was back!…second thing I liked: they gave me 4 pieces of bacon, when 3 is usually the norm. The eggs were scrambled hard with cheddar and I washed it down with some good ole oj. Talk about a happy camper! The service was friendly and courteous. Considering that it was packed, we still didn’t wait too long. And back to the young people and how awesome they were: they worked together, efficient, they were smiling and just overall cheerful. I was like, they must’ve took all of the workers from Chick Fil A, I don’t know how they’re going to manage now! Experiencing it all in a new building was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant: just a mix of hungry, chill people minding our business and eating good in the neighborhood! (I love chill vibes btw) I forgot to ask my Hubby how much it came to and he done forgot by the time I reviewed this, but I did take a pic of the menu and it has the prices. It’s al-a-cart so it can probably get pricey, but man is it worth it. Honestly, ugh! Just be realistic and choose wisely. Or do like we’re going to do: spread out our visits. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise though. To be driving home from such a mundane, routine task and be treated to a delicious breakfast with the love of my life. I’m so blessed and grateful. You need a hitting breakfast spot? THIS IS IT! So go ahead and make that drive on down the road if you’re all the way up top! You won’t be disappointed.

Scramblers - Lexington Park is a fresh and vibrant addition to Southern Maryland’s breakfast and brunch scene. Nestled at 21991 Three Notch Rd, this bright, modern spot offers a welcoming atmosphere that balances a nostalgic diner feel with contemporary comfort. From the moment you walk in, the friendly energy of a young, efficient staff sets the tone for a satisfying meal experience.
The menu shines with variety, blending classic breakfast staples with inventive twists. Signature dishes like the “Crab Cake Bunny” celebrate local flavors with finesse, while unique offerings such as shrimp & grits and breakfast burritos provide delightful alternatives to the traditional morning fare. Notably, Scramblers caters thoughtfully to diverse dietary needs by clearly marking gluten-free items and allowing customers to order “mini” portions, a smart touch for those seeking lighter meals or smaller appetites.
One standout that repeatedly wins hearts is the salted caramel and banana waffle. Creamy, sweet, and perfectly balanced, it has become a must-try item praised for its rich flavor and satisfying texture. Accompanying this is the generous portion of bacon — often arriving in four crispy strips, a welcome indulgence that pairs exquisitely with their fluffy scrambled eggs blended with sharp cheddar.
Scramblers' attention to detail also extends to its drink selection and creative sides. The Biscuit Flight, featuring cinnamon sugar butter, hot pepper bacon jam, and cream cheese icing, offers a trifecta of flavors that elevate typical breakfast biscuits to a memorable treat. Their Firecracker Bacon, thick-cut and dusted with Cajun spices and honey, adds a spicy-sweet complexity that complements the warm, fluffy biscuits perfectly.
The dining environment supports a calm, community vibe. Whether grabbing a quick bite before work at their early 6:30 AM opening or enjoying a leisurely weekend brunch, guests experience a mix of efficiency and warmth that’s increasingly rare. The space is wheelchair accessible, offering inclusivity for all patrons.
While Scramblers is still ironing out the occasional service hiccup common to new businesses — like handling large groups’ checks — these moments don’t overshadow the overall quality of the food or the positive customer interactions. The kitchen delivers on taste and portion size, and the staff's professionalism shines even during busy times.
For those in Lexington Park and beyond craving a flavorful, hearty breakfast with a modern twist, Scramblers offers a compelling destination. It’s a place where local charm meets culinary innovation, and every dish tells a story of care, creativity, and a genuine love for good food.
